Welcome to StayInn Gateway Kuching.

Our goal is to provide guests with a comfortable, practical, and welcoming city stay experience while maintaining a respectful environment for all guests, residents, staff, and building occupants.

As StayInn operates within a shared mixed-use property environment, we kindly ask all guests to observe the following guidelines to help ensure a smooth and pleasant stay experience for everyone.

1. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-In

  • Standard check-in time begins from 2:00 PM.
  • Early check-in may be arranged subject to availability and operational readiness.

Check-Out

  • Standard check-out time is 12:00 Noon.
  • Late check-out requests are subject to availability.

Late check-out charges may apply beginning from 1:00 PM onwards.

2. Occupancy & Visitors

Guests are kindly requested to ensure the number of occupants matches the confirmed reservation details. Visitors are permitted until 10:00 PM.

For safety and security purposes:

  • Overnight visitors are not permitted unless pre-arranged and approved.
  • Additional guest charges may apply where relevant.

Extra bed and additional occupancy arrangements may be subject to operational availability and charges.

3. Noise & Shared Environment

StayInn operates within a shared building environment where some units may be occupied by residents, owners, long-stay guests, or neighbouring occupants.

Guests are kindly requested to:

  • Keep noise at respectful levels.
  • Avoid loud gatherings.
  • Respect corridor and shared-space etiquette.
  • Minimise disturbance especially during late evening hours.

Quiet hours begin from 11:00 PM onwards.

Parties, excessive noise, disruptive behaviour, or activities affecting other occupants are not permitted.

4. Smoking Policy

StayInn practices a non-smoking indoor environment.

Smoking, vaping, or the use of electronic smoking devices is not permitted:

  • Inside rooms.
  • Balconies.
  • Corridors.
  • Lift lobbies.
  • Rooftop common areas.
  • Indoor shared spaces.

Guests may smoke only at designated outdoor smoking areas where permitted.

Additional cleaning, restoration, safety, or damage-related charges may apply in cases involving smoke contamination, property damage, or activation of building safety systems.

5. Food & Strong Odours

To maintain guest comfort within the shared accommodation environment, guests are kindly requested to avoid food items or activities that may generate excessive or persistent odours affecting neighbouring units or shared spaces.

Strong-smelling food items such as durian are not permitted within guest rooms or indoor common areas.

6. Rooftop & Swimming Pool Usage

The rooftop and swimming pool facilities are shared amenities intended for registered guests, authorized users, and approved occupants.

Guests using the rooftop facilities are kindly requested to:

  • Observe posted operating hours.
  • Supervise children at all times.
  • Avoid disruptive behaviour.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety.
  • Avoid the use of glass items near the pool area.

Pool towels may not be provided unless specifically stated within room packages or arrangements.

Facility access and usage may occasionally be adjusted due to weather, maintenance, safety, operational requirements, or building management regulations.

7. Parking

Complimentary parking may be provided subject to availability and operational arrangements.

Parking access may be limited depending on occupancy levels and building operations.

Guests are advised:

  • Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.
  • Valuables should not be left unattended.
  • Building traffic and access regulations should be observed.

8. Room Condition, Damages & Missing Items

Guests are kindly requested to maintain rooms and facilities in reasonable condition throughout the stay.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Missing items.
  • Excessive cleaning.
  • Property damage.
  • Safety violations.
  • Misuse of facilities.
  • Damages caused by negligence or inappropriate usage.

Operational inspections may be conducted after check-out where necessary.

9. Building Access & Shared Areas

For safety and operational purposes:

  • Access cards issued by StayInn should be handled responsibly.
  • Guests should avoid sharing access cards with unauthorized individuals.
  • Building common areas and corridors should be used respectfully.

Guests are also requested to comply with applicable building management and safety regulations, including restrictions relating to:

  • Open fire cooking.
  • Hanging items externally.
  • Unsafe activities.
  • Obstruction of common areas.

10. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited within StayInn premises:

  • Illegal activities.
  • Drug-related activities.
  • Unsafe conduct.
  • Disruptive gatherings.
  • Unauthorized commercial activities.
  • Activities endangering guests, staff, residents, or property.

StayInn reserves the right to deny access, terminate stays, or report matters to relevant authorities where necessary for safety, legal, or operational reasons.

11. Pets

Pets are generally not permitted within StayInn premises unless specifically approved in advance under limited operational circumstances.

Guests are encouraged to contact the management team directly regarding special requests.

12. Housekeeping & Long-Stay Arrangements

Standard Stayover Service

Daily stayover housekeeping may include:

  • Bed making.
  • Rubbish removal.
  • Bathroom amenity replenishment.
  • Light room refreshing.

Long-Stay Arrangements

For extended stays, housekeeping schedules may differ depending on package or operational arrangements.

Long-stay housekeeping may include:

  • Scheduled linen changes.
  • Periodic cleaning.
  • Arranged housekeeping visits.
  • Waste management arrangements.

Additional housekeeping requests may be subject to operational availability.

13. Safety, Emergency & Incident Reporting

Guests are required to immediately report any emergency, injury, medical situation, suspicious activity, safety concern, or incident occurring within the premises to the StayInn team or relevant authorities where appropriate.

StayInn reserves the right to contact emergency services, security personnel, building management, or relevant authorities where necessary to protect the safety, wellbeing, security, or legal interests of guests, staff, residents, or the property.

Activities that may endanger human safety, violate Malaysian laws, disturb public order, or create serious safety risks within the premises are strictly prohibited.

Guests are responsible for supervising minors and ensuring safe use of balconies, windows, corridors, and common areas at all times.

14. Safety & Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for:

  • Personal belongings.
  • Valuables.
  • Travel documents.
  • Electronic devices.
  • Personal equipment.

StayInn shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage unless required by applicable law.

Guests are encouraged to:

  • Secure doors properly.
  • Safeguard valuables.
  • Exercise reasonable personal care throughout the stay.
